The motivation for creating this Tanzania Safari Video series on YouTube series was to encourage everyone to support boots-on-the-ground conservation initiatives that will help preserve all our wilderness areas, until the world settles down in its new normal. Many camps run their own community-environmental programs funded out of bums-on-beds sales – these are also under strain. Season 5: Serengeti Safari – Ndutu SeriesĪs a consequence of the very few visitors and tourists to Tanzania, revenue to the National Parks also dried up with dire consequences for conservation, anti-poaching and park maintenance. To fill this gap and give people stuck at home their dose of wilderness, two of Africa’s leading wildlife guides Richard Knocker and our very own Jombi Kivuyo plus award-winning wildlife photographer Paul Joynson-Hicks and inspirational film maker Eliza Powell started their project in the greater Serengeti Eco System (Tanzania) and filmed several Safari Videos in the Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Lake Natron. Airstrips were prime grazing grounds and the animals reclaiming their wilderness. In the Serengeti National Park main roads had become tiny rough farm tracks and smaller roads all but disappeared. ![]()
